Breathe in Valencia

Located in the southeastern portion of Negros Island, the municipality of Valencia is a premier first-class municipality in the province of Negros Oriental with a total land area of 147.49 square kilometers. It is characterized by a mountainous and hilly terrain that provides a picturesque backdrop to the coastal towns below.

A popular tourist and eco-tourism destination, the municipality is renowned for its notably cool climate, earning it the nickname "Little Baguio of Negros Oriental." Its landscape is abundant with natural wonders, including the towering Casaroro Waterfall, the red river rocks of Pulangbato Falls, geothermal hot springs, and the majestic Mount Talinis. Valencia is composed of 24 barangays.

Sharing its borders with Dumaguete City to the east, Sibulan to the north, Bacong to the south, and the province of Negros Occidental to the west, Valencia serves as a highland retreat. Situated at a higher elevation, the town center is located roughly 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) west of the provincial capital, Dumaguete City, and approximately 640 kilometers (397 miles) south of the national capital of Manila.
